Multi-Generational

Problem

Clients needed a family home them and their 2 children, but they also have a parent who needed to live with them, but is autonomous and capable of taking care of themselves.

Strategy

They thought they were going to need to buy a house and put in a basement apartment, but they didn’t want their aging parent to live downstairs in a basement. So, I set out to find the perfect family home that also had enough room to build an addition to attach to the house so the parent can be close, but not in the house, and have single floor living, as stairs will become a problem.

Solution

Found a beautiful family home with pool and a lot size and layout that would accommodate an additon. Due to my years of experience of working closely with a builder on my own projects I was able to find the property and help navigate the relationship with the builder to make sure it was the perfect property. They built a 527 sqft addition on time and on budget. And lived happily ever after
